Cinderella Knew The Power A Shoe Can Have

Do you believe shoes can make all the difference?

I do!

Have you ever put together a perfect outfit only to realize the shoes you have aren’t quite right?

It can be such a let down, and even affect how confident you feel in that outfit. And will change how you carry yourself and present yourself.

I have been living in my boyfriend jeans lately.

They are the style that fits me best right now.  When it’s warmer I’m wearing them with flat sandals, and wedges, but now that the weather has turned cooler, and let’s be honest my pedicure has about run it’s course.  I need to find some closed toe options that make me look and feel put together.

Boyfriend jeans can be a little tricky to style, so I’m going to show you 4 different options that will have you looking and feeling like you are ready to conquer your day no matter what you are doing.

The first look is great for running errands and picking up the kids from school.  They are a great tennis shoe.  I love these New Balance shoes, in a great off-white color, they are easy slip on and off and are so comfortable.

The second is one of my favorites and a little dressier option.  A great loafer.  I’m such a loafer girl, they are definitely part of my “uniform”.

A slide also works great with boyfriend jeans, especially during these summer to fall transition weeks (months?) when the weather can span 20 or 30 degrees throughout the day.  This pointy toe option is even a little dressier than the loafer.

I like that all three options show a little skin at the ankle.  Showing your ankle highlights one of the smallest parts of your body and will have you channeling your best Jackie O or Audrey Hepburn.

Finally, the ankle boot.  This is a great look, and I like a taller, slimmer bootie that hits right at or right below the cuff with the boyfriend jeans.

Showing a little skin is flattering, but I live in the midwest and know that some days are just too cold for that look.

You figure out what looks and feels best for you.

If you love how it looks, wear it!  Your opinion is the only one that matters!
