Life Hacks

As the hustle and bustle of the season is catching up with us. I wanted to share a few time saving hacks I’ve just started using.

Hack #1

This is the best hack that I learned from one of my style clients.

She does an amazing job of re-wearing her clothes and she let me in on her little secret. Every couple of weeks she takes a look in her closet and picks out 3-5 pieces she hasn’t worn in awhile and when she plans her outfits for the week, she incorporates those pieces into the mix.

My mind was blown.

I am so guilty of wearing the same thing over and over again and not mixing things up.
I’m starting this strategy this week!

I will say with COVID and not leaving the house as much I don’t plan my outfits like I used to and it’s a habit I’m going to start doing again.

It’s so nice to have everything lined up and ready to go. And if I plan the entire week there are always options if I’m not “feeling” my outfit for the day.

Hack #2

This one isn’t a fashion hack, but it’s still amazing!

Are you an avid Podcast listener?

This is one of my latest guilty pleasures.

I usually listen when I’m walking or taking a time out to crochet, but there never seems to be enough time in the day to listen to everything I want.

One of my friends gave me the best hack, she listens to her podcasts at 1.5 or 2x’s the speed. Your brain can register it all and you get finished with the podcast in 1/2 the time.

What?!?!

I have started doing this and it works so well!

Hack #3

This last one came from a make-up artist and new friend who recently interviewed me on Facebook.

After a glass or two of wine, and let’s be honest, after I’ve probably fell asleep on the couch watching TV. I don’t always have feel like going through my entire night time skin care steps. In fact I’lll be doing good to just wash my face.

Her tip?

Do it earlier.

Why didn’t I think of that?

So after dinner, as long as a don’t have a cabi show to get on, I go wash my face and go through my whole skin routine and it’s done even if I end up falling asleep on the couch.

I’d love to hear from you if you found these helpful, or if you have some helpful hacks of your own!
